This is a long exposure image of the Palace of Westminster, London. Also known as the Houses of Parliament.
This building houses the House of Lords and the House of Commons (what it really means is Commoners).
It was taken in 2010 when I was still learning about long exposure photography. You will notice that the clock face in the tower lacks any detail (known as being overexposed). It is hard to do a long exposure of the Palace of Westminster without getting the clockface overexposed - it can be done, but clearly not on the day I took this!
The clocktower is often called Big Ben - but this is the name of the large bell housed within the clocktower
