The marriage of Ashleigh and Gary at The Grosvenor Hotel, Stratford upon Avon in 2017.
This was an unbelievably hot day in Stratford. The sun was at the front of the hotel, with little or no shade.
Thankfully, the hotel was a very short walk to the local canal system and we were able to take some pictures close to one of the locks.
At some point, the weddings we photograph become 'old'.
Sometimes the people in them are no longer together, sometimes the wedding venues no longer exist as they were when the photographs were taken, sometimes wedding venues change names and as I have been in business since 2012, my style of editing has changed as have my cameras and a whole host of other things.
If I were to re-photograph a wedding I did in 2012 again in 2021, the images would be different and no doubt a number of other things would be different, but they are my images and I still think of them as being lovely.
So instead of consigning them to a hard drive in a cupboard, never to be seen again, I have decided to include a few of my favourite ones.
The Grosvenor House Hotel, Stratford upon Avon was built in the 1830s as two Town Houses that have since been made into one to become a hotel. The building became a Grade II listed building in 1972.
It appears that since these wedding pictures were taken the hotel has been sold and has undergone extensive refurbishment and was called The Villaire Hotel, but having driven past it recently, it appears that it has been sold again and has gone back to being called The Grosvenor Hotel.
